Arrogant dicktwat
part 1 of one, complete
Word count (Story only) 656

::This story takes place in Jay's world of Silverwood and deals with an event from earlier where an entire forest was healed by a very powerful mage. warning: includes someone being an ass, and Jay defending his actions. People have his back though, so it's all good at the end. Thanks for reading!::

Trees. Jay thought of trees, and was there. Human now, not elven, though it would be hard to tell from here. The big silver-would tree he was on, no leaning against, had been restored recently, and the judicials had not been pleased that he had been involved without telling them.

They were the five final sayers. Almost like the supreme court of anything silver-forest related. They were above even the committee, the group that kept order and ethical things inline for all of silverwoods mages and other energy practitioners, and Jay never liked being called before them, even though this time he knew he had done right. Right by everything, and everyone, here.

"You got who involved?"

"Someone who fuckin' wanted to help." He was not happy; this was the third time he'd been called in front of the four of them. Five if you counted the statue one of them held of the lion who was supposedly the final judge, "Someone who saved our world from somethin I still can't fuckin explain."

"Someone who had no business..."

"Someone who had every right." The second judge had finally had enough, "The four of us, including Lionel," *she held up the statue* here are approving. You are the only dicktwat who says no, and he is sick and tired of explaining why in hell she was brought here. She saved the species. More than she probably thought she did. Isn't that enough to let this be? We should be dealing with the tgotdamn poachers, not your petty bull shit revenge against Jay because he took your damn spot without even fucking trying." One of the other judges-probly the first one blinked a bit. You knew there was heat when both Jay *and* that one were throwing words. Jay he got, he had always been a bit less...proper than most they dealt with, but her? That was not usual for this one.

The fourth judge just nodded. The third one, the one causing all the issues, glared at Jay. "I'll pull you down, dammit. You won't be able to keep this 'front' up forever and you damn well know it. Human bodies always make us go fucknuts, you'll see in time. Trust me."

"Don' trust ya so far as I can see." Jay leaned on the tree whose driad was listening with interest, "'cause if I did, I'd be lettin mah daughter learn drummin and bead makin from ya and I ain't."

"She'll learn from me, if it's the last thing..."

"You'll be the last to teach her if your attitude is any indication." The first judge-the tallest of them-finally spoke up, "and if you're not careful, you'll be culled, and your brother will be here. He seems to be much more suited than you are."

That quieted him. jay took that opportunity to slide away. Behind the tree to shift into his tiger form and book it. Damn fool was about to make him out for blood, and he didn't want that. Not with as stress as his little Mountain Rose was with school and things-and not with as much as Lance and Del needed him to be level headed for whatever the hell they were up to.

Damn fool judge was losing his damn head, and that scared Jay because that meant the beginning of something not good. It would probably be even worse than he or they yet knew. He was a tiger, and tigers, at least ones like him, could sense the impending doom, or darkness before it, and it was all through that dude. All through him. If someone didn't say something (He couldn't; he wasn't part of the counsel, and there wasn't any way to make himself believed) bad things would happen sooner than later.

He emerged, elf-shaped, on the corner of Figuroa and 32nd, several blocks from his boy Q's house. He would need to walk to clear his head, beside the fact he needed studio time anyway and Q was 'bout to be headed that way. Just...catch up to that brothah and he'd be good. Real damn good.

This features the same Jay as the previous story-six foot give or take some, with dreds that show in human form, and become the tiger stripes. Q is a rapper friend of his that he often works with, and will make an appearance in later stories.
The judicials are usualy two pair-2 men and to women, and range in heights, if only slightly. THe fifth is a 'living' statue which has telepathic abilities; he chooses one to translate for him; usually the one holding him, and can only be translated by that one. They are most often addressed by their number and not by their name unless someone is extremely angry with them, or they re being relieved of duty. Judge, mage, or speaker usually follow the number.
